Private Medical Insurance

Many people have Private Medical Insurance in place to cover the costs of private healthcare which can be very expensive.

For example to have a knee replacement privately would cost anything between £8500 and £14600, a colonoscopy – one of the most claimed-for procedures – can be between £1005 and £2195.

Much like car insurance the Private Medical Insurance policies are annual and have varying levels of cover, no claims bonuses and excesses.

Every insurance policy that we offer will have comprehensive in-patient and day-patient treatment.

As well as the day and inpatient cover, you can then start to add various other levels of cover to your policy, these include:

• Specialist consultations (limited or comprehensive)
• Diagnostic tests (limited or comprehensive)
• CT/MRI/PET Scans
• Complementary medicine (i.e. physiotherapy limited or comprehensive)
• Psychiatric treatment
• Hospital lists

Our role at the PHC is to be the main liaison between you the client and the insurer, some other brokers make their money by charging for their services as well as earning commission – we do not.

Because we do the hard work of selling the policies, our insurers provide us with huge discounts on their rates, which we can pass on to you.
